Panhellenic Veterinary Student Conference
The PVSC (Panhellenic Veterinary Students' Conference) began as an idea from a group of students. The goal was to promote veterinary science and to try to bring students into contact with Veterinary Medicine outside of university life.
By turning students into researchers, conference participants, and speakers, they are given the opportunity to prepare papers, connect with professors and other professionals in the field, reflect, and get tired. Most importantly, however, they have the opportunity to communicate their ideas to future students and their future colleagues.
In 2012, the first Veterinary Conference was held in Thessaloniki, which led to the 1st Veterinary School of Greece, on May 18-19, 2013. Since then, it has been organized jointly every year by the country's two veterinary schools.(Veterinary Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Veterinary Medicine, University of Thessaloniki), constituting a milestone in the academic calendar of students. It is hosted on a rotating basis in the two cities-headquarters of the schools, Thessaloniki and Karditsa, achieving great success and attracting a large number of students.
The 13th PSVK was distinguished at the 1st Pan-European Veterinary Students' Conference, which took place on May 9-11, 2025 in Thessaloniki, internationalizing the idea of this group of students and bringing together over 730 delegates from 8 different countries in Europe.
Confirming that, thirteen years later, the PSFK is a dynamic institution, representing the continuous evolution and dynamism of the veterinary profession.
